Children will learn French, immersed in a French-speaking environment, through games and fun activities. They will learn the same way they develop skills in their native language , by listening, watching, singing, playing, and expressing themselves.
The counselors are native French speakers who all have experience working with children and teaching French within a summer camp environment and/or are members of the faculty at the French International School during the school year. Some of our junior counselors are former EFIP students.
In the morning, your child will learn songs, listen to stories, play language games, role play, use French software, draw, play with puppets and complete fun activities that will increase their understanding and vocabulary in French.
In the afternoon, your child will cook, prepare shows, do arts and crafts, make videos and go outside for sports and games, all in French to reinforce their communication skills.
Once a week, the campers will go on a field trip.
Every Friday, you will be invited to come and see what your children have accomplished during the week.
